Jessica was christened JESSICA EVA RUTH.
It was a beautiful ceremony, even though
the rain was pouring down. Jessica wore the
family´s traditional christening dress.
I was the first one to wear it 40 years ago and since
then it has been worn by my brothers, sister,
cousins and Jessica´s cousins. As godmothers
we had asked my sister Jenny (I am her godmother)
and Jessica´s cousin Malin, and they
did a beautiful job. And I´m sure
they will from now on as well! Jessica was a bit tired and
let us hear her voice a bit, but everything
went well.
Afterwards we had a big party with champagne
and lots of sweets & cakes. The whole family
was there - grandparents, aunts, uncles
and cousins; all together about 20 of us.
Jessica got lots of beautiful gifts too,
like necklaces, photo albums, piggy banks
and a savings account. When it was all over,
she slept non stop for about twelve hours!
