FOSTER CHILD CARE
In December 1998 we accepted
a foster child in our care through the PLAN International Organization.
For a small amount each month
we can help this child and his family, increasing health, education and
general conditions.
Our foster child is Bhupal,
he is 13 years old and lives in Nepal. We are very happy to have Bhupal
in our lives and to be able to help.

In August 2002 we learned that we will not be able to support Bhupal any longer. There is war in Nepal, and PLAN is forced to leave the country. This is very sad, since we have formed a relationship with Bhupal over these years. It is hard not to know what will happen to him now, but there is not much we can do. I have sent him a last letter, but chances are not very good that it will reach him. Best of luck to you, we are thinking of you.
We will eventually have another foster child and he/she will presented here.

March 2003. We have now received
our new foster child, and are so happy about it!
Her name is Veronica and she
is a 2-year old girl living in Colombia.
It feels special to have a
girl in my own daughter´s age, and hopefully they will get to know
each other as time goes by.

In November 2003 we learned that we are not able to support Veronica either, because of rebels disturbing PLAN´s work in Colombia. We were very sad for this, since we had already established a very good contact with Veronica´s family. Presently we are waiting for a new foster child somewhere in the world.
January 2004. We have now received
our third foster child and we welcome her to our family. Her name is Amy,
she is five years old and from Nicaragua. I´m just about to write
our first letter to her and hope we will develop a good relationship.
